Kasper Svarrer is an international investment professional with over 25 years of experience in private equity across frontier and emerging markets. He recently established Pinetree Venture Partners, an Investment Advisor based in Denmark and a Luxembourg-regulated private equity General Partner, building institutional-grade investment platforms across Emerging Asia.

Previously, Kasper built and led the Financial Inclusion business area at Danish asset manager Maj Invest for over 15 years, managing PE growth funds investing in financial institutions across Latin America, Asia, and Africa. During this period he was overall responsible for raising almost USD 400m, making 19 investments and 8 exits, and managing investments in a portfolio of financial institutions with an AUM of USD 7bn. Prior to that, he was an investment professional at the Impact Fund Denmark (IFU/IFDK), deploying capital alongside Danish companies in frontier and emerging markets, and earlier led a consulting team in Botswana and served as a forestry specialist with the World Bank in Washington, D.C.

Since 2010, Kasper has been a joint shareholder in a third-generation family business alongside his brother, spanning logistics, green energy, and investments across Southeast Asia, serving as Chairman of the Board for seven years before exiting in 2024. Over the years, he has served on numerous boards of companies, forestry investment vehicles, and financial institutions in Denmark and internationally.

Kasper holds an Executive MBA from Henley Management College, University of Reading (UK), an M.Sc. in Forestry from the University of Copenhagen, and has completed executive programs at Harvard and Georgetown Universities.
